I’ve solved the gym discipline a few times by giving myself absolutely no exercise requirements the first two weeks I get to a new gym. My only goal is to get there, change, and do something for 30 min. After those first 6-7 visits, I’m in habit and comfortable with the atmosphere. That keeps me from dividing my motivation between getting used to a new place and doing an intense workout. Workouts can get more intense once the ritual has been better ingrained.
